Dr. Roberta Lepre
Dr. Roberta Lepre graduated Doctor of Laws in 2003. In 2004 she was appointed EU Advisor to the National Commission for the Promotion of Equality, a post she occupied until August 2008. In recent years, she has gained extensive experience in the field of equal opportunities, particularly through research, analytical reviews, and participating in a number of awareness raising activities including conferences and seminars, both local and international. She has trained and consulted public and private sector organizations, trade unions and NGO’s in issues related to equal opportunities.
In 2005 she was entrusted with the implementation of Gender Mainstreaming within the Maltese Public Sector, through an EU funded project. Moreover, in 2006 she acted as Project Manager in another EU funded project which included supervising a gender audit of Maltese legislation, delivering training and drafting two manuals for private and public sector organisations.
In 2006 she was also appointed Member of the first Commission on Domestic Violence.
In 2007 she was selected as Diversity Expert for Malta in relation to a project being carried out jointly between the European Commission, Human European Consultancy, the International Society for Diversity Management and the Migration Policy Group.
In 2008, she founded Weave Consulting.
Dr. Roberta Lepre is also Director of Victim Support Malta, a non-Governmental organization which provides support to victims of crime.
