Promoting Equality and Managing Diversity

The diversity of today’s workforce is protected by the relevant anti-discrimination legislation applicable in every country.  Nonetheless, diversity is not only a matter of complying with legislation – there is research which proves that organisations that value the diversity of their employees and customers, and who are willing to do what is takes to tap upon the ‘diversity dividend’ reap concrete business benefits, including increased innovation and productivity.

This 5 day course therefore aims, on the one hand, at providing participants with sensitivity about all the various facets of diversity and awareness regarding the relevant legal and administrative implications pertaining to equality on the basis of sex, age, religion, race, sexual orientation and disability; whilst on the other hand, providing them with concrete tools which can be implemented within their organisations in order to manage diversity in a positive and pro-active manner.

Course Objectives:

  • To sensitize participants towards issues of equality and diversity
  • To achieve an understanding of the economic benefits of diversity
  • To assist participants in mastering the techniques to implement diversity management
  • To assist participants to identify appropriate follow up actions that can be implemented in their own organisations
